I tried creader IV on toyota Vista-Ardeo 2001! the same problem i have got-communication error. this is really fucking device supported only small amount of cars protocol OBD-II with wide range limitations.

Toyota Crown 2001 Japan with OBD 2 (k-line) same have communication error :(

a mi parecer este producto no esta actualizado ya que no nos ofrecen la nueva gama de actualizacion de datos para todos los escaner que salen de esta forma same have communication error
por favor les pediria a los fabricantes de este producto que si nos podrian ayudar a actualizar la base da datos para nuestros escaner bueno espero respuestas ok mi correo es

CReader V says communication error Toyota bb -02, Chevrolet-Lecetti 06 - vchem might be a bug? How soon will the new firmware? When ordering promised that Toyota will be read!

i have the same problem on my 1997 toyota caldina gtt and was told the is a design fault and an update will fix the problem and they are working on creating an update, but couldn't tell when they would release the update. iI feel it is false advertising when they say that it works with all car with obd2

did you plug it into the car before you started it? i found out if you just plug it in and turn the key on but not starting the car it will work in reading the codes.. i hope this helps. Good luck on your repairs.
